The BoxHeads host LAN Parties in Southwest Michigan several times a year. We have been hosting LAN Parties since 2001 and have grown from 20 person LANs in a basement to 120 gamers in a decked out venue. The BoxHeads is made up of a group of local gamers who wanted to put on high class events that benefit both the gamers and the sponsors. Our team is made up of IT professionals, telecommunication specialists and students but we are all computer enthusiast in our free time.
The BoxHeads as a group have gone through a couple changes over the years. We've recruited several members after others have lost interest. But we maintain a strong group of admins to provide the caliber LAN Parties that our guests have come to except.
Our site features many ways for our guests to participate.
- We host frequent surveys and polls to get ideas on what the community wants.
- We host an active message board where BoxHead members and guests can communicate. Other LAN parties are also welcome to announce their events here.
- We keep the front page updated with the latest interesting technology related story.
- We host a dedicated Ventrilo voice server where people can meet and play games online.
- We host a dedicated game server that is used by the Shaolin Drunks Counter Strike Source Clan.
- We host a LAN Party registration form that is used when we have an event coming up.
- We host a photo gallery of all the past BoxHead LAN Parties as well as other LANs that we have attended.
- We have a page dedicated to our supporting sponsors.
